Volunteer

Can you pour a cup of coffee?

Pass someone a sandwich?volunteer name tags

Hold a conversation?

Then you have the gifts to be an Operation Nightwatch volunteer!

But you'd likely want to know more. To that end, we have prepared an online Volunteer Orientation that you can access by clicking here.

Due to the close interaction our volunteers have with guests, we strongly stress the importance of maintaining boundaries. Don't know what those are, or aren't convinced of their importance? We'd encourage watching these four short videos that address those questions, "Let's Talk About Boundaries." (The first video is about 7 minutes along, the others about 2 minutes apiece.) You can watch the YouTube versions by clicking the following links:

"Let's Talk About Boundaries, Part 1": https://youtu.be/TMffoBvWho8

"Let's Talk About Boundaries, Part 2": https://youtu.be/GYtApla3gFw

"Let's Talk About Boundafies, Part 3": https://youtu.be/K4kNHlz1dIs

"Let's Talk About Boundaries, Part 4": https://youtu.be/C-PkWgkzqAw

Operation Nightwatch depends upon the commitment of volunteers. While we have a number of programs that invite volunteers, we recommend that those new to Nightwatch begin with an evening at one of Hospitality Centers: Downtown, or SE.  You can sign up to volunteer at any or these sites by going to our online Volunteer Calendar, which you can access by clicking the button below.
