NEW MINISTRIES, NEW OPPORTUNTIES!

For a long time now, Nightwatch has been equated with our Hospitality Center on SW 13th. And that’s led some people who have supported us to say, “I appreciate what Nightwatch is doing, but if I were to volunteer, the Hospitality Center isn’t quite for me.”
Is one of those people you? Well, now we can present you with other options!
Was your imagination sparked by Nightwatch’s old street ministry? We recently revived that ministry in a better form! To become a member of our Street Hospitality Teams, you don’t have to be ordained. Neither do you have to face the fear of going out on the streets by yourself, because you will be paired with another team member. And in contrast to our old street ministers, you’ll not go out onto the streets until you’ll fully equipped with a bagload of resources and comprehensive training.
Or maybe you like what goes on at the Hospitality Center but the idea of driving into downtown at night doesn’t appeal to you. You might like to become part of our Mobile Hospitality Center crew. The Mobile Hospitality Center will be located from night-to-night somewhere in the metro area’s neighborhoods, and will be easily accessible with plenty of parking. It may even be a hop, skip,
and jump from your own neighborhood. (It will likely start off in East County and SE.) Serve coffee and sandwiches, play games, have conversations, and—most importantly—help others, without having to fight any traffic into downtown!
Or maybe you don’t have any availability on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, but do have some on Sundays. Our pastor, Roger Fuchs, could use some assistance at our weekly Sunday evening worship.
If you’d like to explore either of these possibilities, please call us or email
info@operationnightwatch.org. The new teams and crews will be organizing soon!
