The easiest way to make a donation. Any amount is appreciated and is greatly beneficial to our cause.

A Lamplighter is someone who commits to making a regularly recurring donation, either on a monthly, quarterly, or semi-annual basis. These donations help us in our work by providing us with a reliable stream of income throughout the year. Click the recurring donation button and check “make this recurring” in the donation form.

You can donate a car, boat, or RV to us! Your vehicle will be sold through Donate for Charity, Inc. and the majority of the proceeds will be distributed to us.

How to Donate Stock or Mutual Funds 

Operation Nightwatch Portland gratefully accepts donations of stock and mutual funds to support our program. Our policy is to sell those donations immediately upon receipt.

Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs) and gifts from IRAs

If you are 70 1/2 years or older and hold an individual IRA, you can give up to $108,000 from your IRA directly to a qualified organization such as Operation Nightwatch  without having to pay income taxes on the distribution. This popular option is commonly called an  IRA charitable rollover or alternatively a qualified charitable distribution, or QCD. Contact your IRA custodian to complete the gift. Checks should be made payable to Operation Nightwatch. Please request that your administrator include your name and address on the check stub and also notify us of your gift so that we may ensure that it is received and credited to you appropriately. You may also consider designating Operation Nightwatch as a full or partial beneficiary of your IRA or other retirement account.
